AI and E-Commerce
There is an increasing emphasis on the personalization of customer experiences in e-commerce. This was already true even before AI started to influence the market, but it's even more valid today. Shoppers expect that the product recommendations will be adapted to their own shopping history, with relevant search suggestions and recommendations from the store. This can be tricky to get right, especially with a more diverse inventory that covers a variety of products. With the help of modern AI solutions, new processes can be automated, and patterns can be inferred that were not that obvious before.
Council Post: What's Next For AI And E-Commerce?
Online shopping has accelerated with a notable 30% increase in digital sales in the U.S.; this means that previously nascent or hard-to-sell-in technologies are now being considered by major retailers. Artificial intelligence is one of these technologies that is seeing more rapid integration, with $7.3 billion projected to be spent by retailers in 2022. And, last month's Google release of new AI-powered e-commerce tools highlights how far down the channel AI adoption has become. As a serial tech entrepreneur currently operating in the next-gen AI space, I'm seeing that AI is no longer relegated to product recommendation engines but is quickly becoming the backbone of retail. The pandemic exposed failures within third-party (3P) warehousing and last-mile delivery operations, many of these related to shipping errors, complex deliveries and faulty projections on timing.

AI and E-Commerce : Perfect recipe for success – CommerceUp – Medium
With the current scenario of the online marketplace, e-commerce has become more competitive then previous times. Now every e-commerce setup needs to be faster and smarter then others. Lets take the example of building websites before, you would have to hire a web designer and pay thousands of rupees to have a professional website, now you only need an AI website builder to produce your website for you within minutes.Data of customers and visitors is all around us, which is continuously collected, and which is important for businesses to analyse their next strategy. But what if we can collect, organise, analyse, and then put that data to work for us in an even more efficient manner? Well that's exactly where Artificial Intelligence comes in, and it's changing up the online marketing game in a big way. Have you ever used that "chat now" box when shopping online?

Think Tank: Prepare Now for the Future Convergence of AI and E-commerce
Consumers' desire for personalized shopping experiences is by now well documented. In response to these expectations, merchants are increasingly using tools that present products and content, which reflect shoppers' preferences, and past picks. These investments are likely to pay off, as merchants report personalization improves results throughout the customer life cycle. Product recommendation and customer profiling tools increasingly integrate past brand interactions with "big data" insights that predict shoppers' likely needs and paths to purchase. Artificial intelligence, known as AI, is the logical next step in this progression, enabling machines to respond to shoppers' input with relevant content and products.
